Cruising on the Seine

Riding a boat on the Seine is a wonderful way to see Paris.  During Year 4, we enjoyed day and evening cruises.

The boats travel through the city's heart, providing lovely views of many of Paris' monuments, including the Eiffel Tower and the cathedral.

Notre-Dame de Paris (after the April fire)
The Eiffel Tower, or Marie-Chantal with some pointy thing sticking out the top of her head
Pont de Bir-Hakeim
Les Berges de la Seine (a permanent floating garden)
The Boat Service of the Paris fire brigade
One special cruise on the Seine was celebrating a milestone birthday of Marie-Chantal's lifelong friend Terry.  We all had a fantastic time on the romantic dinner cruise!

During the cruise, we enjoyed some lovely views.

The Eiffel Tower and a 1/4 scale replica of the Statue of Liberty on the Île aux Cygnes, an island in the Seine.  The replica was a gift from the United States to France to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789.

Thanks for cruising on the Seine with us.
