Turin (Part 4 of 5)

They know museums in Turin.  Turin has many museums of all sorts, including an Egyptian museum.

Why an Egyptian museum in Turin?  Well, in 1753, a persuasive Italian scientist convinced the King of Sardinia, whose kingdom was headquartered in Turin, that a great kingdom needed a great collection of Egyptian artifacts.  Over the centuries, the collection has been greatly expanded.  That is why you will find one of the best ancient Egyptian archeological and anthropological museums in Turin.

Here are some photos from our visit to Turin's Egyptian Museum, the Museo Egizio.
