Travels in Tuscany--Montecatini (Part 3 of 4)

During our visit to Montecatini Alto, we kept wandering the winding streets and discovered more of the town.

The main square of the town, Piazza Giuseppe Giusti (famous Italian poet), had many shops and outdoor restaurants, plus some history.

A topiary in the main square.  Does it look familiar?
At the other end of the town, we found another very old church (the Church of Saint Peter), with some very interesting contents.  Check it out.

Relics of Saint Barbara, the patron of Montecatini Terme, and of Saint Peter the Apostle, the patron of the parish church of Montecatini Alto

Apparently, it is mandatory to buy a souvenir dish towel every place you visit.  Who knew?

Next Up:  A sweet ending to our visit to Montecatini.
