Panettone (Part 1 of 4)

A couple of weeks ago, we first noticed a large display of panettone for sale in our local supermarket.  There were all sorts of brands and types piled high in the middle of the store.  We vaguely recalled that panettone is a holiday treat from Italy.  That day, we passed it by.  (Big mistake!)

On a subsequent visit, Susan's curious nature and appetite ruled the day and we took home the store brand traditional brand.  That night, for dessert, we tried the panettone.

OMG!  Fresh, moist, tasty, fruity--it was all that and more.  We are now fans of panettone and will purchase one or two more during the holiday season.  (Each regular-sized panettone is one kilo or 2+ pounds.  So, they last awhile, unless you are feeding a large family.)

Wow!  Talk about muffin top!
