FIAC Hors les Murs (Part 3 of 5)

Our tour of FIAC Hors les Murs continues.

Another sculpture in the Tuileries garden is a sphere place in center of a fountain.

The installation made for a scene of contrasts, old and modern.

You can see the fountain in action by clicking on the video below.

You might remember the artwork pictured below from the Nuit Blanche parade in early October.  The large hand slowly spun atop a float in the parade.  The title suggests the work's meaning.

One of the installations was especially hard to appreciate or like.  The work, entitled Garden, is pictured below.  It is a set of doors surrounding a bed of dirt.  That's it.

Apparently, what happens over time is seeds are dropped by birds and vegetation of some sort starts to grow from the dirt.

We watched the installation occur over a couple of days.  Below are two photos of the installation in progress.

Another hard to understand work is set of 100 shovel heads standing at attention.

The shovel heads almost resemble faces.

The next sculpture is called Beer Head Bear.  If you look closely, you will see what is happening.

Beer Head Bear even appeared on television.
