Spring?

March 20 was the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, a/k/a the first day of Spring.

Signs of Spring were evident.  Near our building, we found a tree with an abundance of pink blossoms.

Well, despite Spring's arrival, Winter has a mind of its own and decided to remind us it has not yet left.  Early morning March 21 brought snow flurries and some accumulation on rooftops (photos below).  The snow melted by midday.  Needless to stay, our winter wear is not going into storage just yet.

It turns out that Punxsutawney Phil was right this year.  Phil did not see his shadow and the remnants of winter 2016 have been relatively mild.  Spring has arrived early.  Thanks, Phil!
