Museums: The Museum of American Finance

Where else but in New York would you find a museum dedicated to finance in the U.S.?

The Museum of American Finance is located in the Financial District just down the street from the New York Stock Exchange. The museum is housed in the former headquarters of the oldest bank in the U.S., the Bank of New York, co-founded by Alexander Hamilton in 1784 to finance the new nation's growth.  (The museum is affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution.)

The museum has a variety of interesting exhibits, from currency to stock trading to Alexander Hamilton to the role of gold.
