Food Photos

Have you noticed how some people nowadays share photos of their restaurant meals?  It's an interesting social media obsession.  On Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest, you might see photos like the ones below.

While presentation is nice, we are a bit skeptical of the photos.  What we would rather see is a clean plate.  A clean plate tells us the food was tasty, if not downright delectable.  Here is the kind of photo people should share.  Not pretty, but it says the food was wonderful.
P.S.  The photo above was taken at Grom, a gelateria in the West Village.  Family friends recommended Grom based on recent travel in Italy, where Grom is a hit.  Needless to say, Italians know gelato.  Grom is da bomb.  The flavor was caffe espresso and it was fantastic as the photo proves.  We plan to make the pilgrimage to home of Grom in Torino during Year 2.

The real test of good food is whether it was enjoyed.  Above, meet two satisfied Grom customers.
P.P.S.  If you prefer seeing photos of uningested food, enjoy a double scoop of Crema di Grom (egg cream with corn biscuits and Colombian “Teyuna” chocolate chips) and Tiramisu (with Mascarpone, espresso coffee, “Teyuna” chocolate chips and Grom biscuits).  Yum!
