Guilty Pleasure #2

A while ago, we shared our guilty pleasure with you--our love of drinking Nespresso coffee.

Fortunately, there is a Nespresso boutique near our apartment.  We visit whenever we need to restock our supply of coffee capsules.

The boutique is like no other store we have ever seen.  It has two elegantly decorated levels.  On the lower level, at a coffee bar (espace degustation) customers may sample the newest coffees offered by Nespresso.  Susan likes visiting there because the samples are free.

The kind folks at Nespresso take their coffee very seriously.  In the boutique is a glass-walled consultation room (pictured below) dedicated to customers who have reached the Expert level, which takes years.  Since we are merely Connaisseurs, we dared not approach the door to the inner sanctum.  Perhaps, someday.

Another indication of Nespresso's serious approach to coffee is evident at the coffee bar.  Like in a winery, you can sample a coffee's bouquet before tasting it.  Check it out.  .

After enjoying a free cup of Joe, we filled our shopping bag with plenty of Nespresso capsules and headed home.  Below is a photo of a happy Jean-Claude with beaucoup de capsules.

Thanks for visiting the Nespresso boutique with us.
