The parade continues with some vintage cars.
Below is Japan's Ambassador to the U.S., his Excellency & Mrs. Shinsuke Sugiyama, riding in a classic Cadillac.
Below are some very old cars driven by the George Washington Chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America.
A vintage Cadillac Eldorado convertible from the early 1970's. Greg's brother Mike once a 1972 Eldo convertible. We suppose that means Mike is now Vintage Mike.
The parade featured some out of the ordinary participants, such as stilt walkers from Colombia.
Plus, we saw a special guest from the Washington Nationals baseball team joined the parade--Racing President Teddy Roosevelt.
The second best part of the parade was the big balloons.

By the way, before the parade began, the D.C. fire department sprang into action to cut down kite strings over the parade route. Apparently, people were concerned that the balloons might be damaged by the strings. That makes sense. The children would not enjoy seeing Sam I Am decapitated.
The very best part of the parade was, you guessed it, the great hats worn by some of the marchers.
Those people know hats!
