Cars in D.C. #2

In our travels around D.C., we see some interesting cars.

The other day we spotted a sports car on parked on Pennsylvania Avenue.  The car was an Audi R8.

Upon closer inspection, we realized that the Audi probably tangled with the large truck parked behind.  The Audi lost the engagement, as you can see in the photo below.

The truck did not appear to be damaged.  Like Greg's brother Mike says:  the big guy usually wins.

In addition to moderns cars, we often see vintage cars.  One was a Mercedes Benz pictured below, probably a 1964 250SL. (Susan checked to see if the keys were left in the car.)

Another vintage car we spotted was a Citroen CX Pallas, possibly from 1979.

What made this car especially interesting was its origin and status.  On the rear of the car are oval stickers indicating the car is from Monaco ("MC") and driven by a diplomat ("CD").

Susan did not check whether the keys were left in the Citroen.
