Our return visit to the Phillips Collection wraps up with some random works of art--from Hopper to Matisse to Braque.
In the Studio by Henri Matisse (1921) (ink on paper) |
Le Pays total, by Georges Braque (1962) (signed lithograph) |
Two Studies for Sculpture by Barbara Hepworth (1932) (inspired by Pablo Picasso and Alberto Giacometti) |
Greg liked the painting below, because of its use of light, color and it Iimpressionist style. He liked it so much that he was distracted and failed to record the artist's name. So, if you know the name of the artist, please let us know.

Thanks for visiting the Phillips Collection with us.
P.S. At the Phillips Collection, not all of the artwork is on the walls. Some of it appears on the ceiling. In the photo below, a carved wooden ceiling decorates the Music Room in the Phillips House.
