Halloween in D.C.

We have enjoyed Halloween decorations and celebrations in D.C.

While walking to French class on Halloween, Greg spotted the very tall, spooky gentleman pictured below.

The gent did more than stand still and look scary.  He moved and spoke, in Spanish!  Click on the video below to see and hear for yourself.

While Greg was returning home from his evening French class, he spotted a person in costume walking along a street.  The person was wearing a Saudi ghutra (the red and white checkered headscarf) and kandora (the long, white robe).  The person was also carrying a saw.  The costume was more of a political statement than anything else.  Greg doubts the person was attending a Halloween party at the Saudi embassy.

Later in the evening, Susan and Greg (with Greg's visiting brother Mike) ventured to Georgetown to see the Halloween festivities there.  There were many spectators watching the many people dressed in all sorts of costumes.  The size of the crowd was much smaller than crowds Susan and Greg remember in the past.  Still, there were a lot of people in costume having a good time.  A few of them are pictured below.

Plus, we also spotted a nice sports car in Georgetown.  Check out the driver.

Thanks for celebrating Halloween in D.C. with us.
