Where do you live in Paris? #1

Where do we live in Paris?

Our apartment is located near a chocolate shop, Le Chocolat.  The chocolates are the creation of Alain Ducasse, the famous Michelin-starred French chef.   Ducasse is known for his haute cuisine but he also knows chocolates.

The shop presents the delicate chocolate morsels in glass display cases, like the one pictured below.

The flavors range from hazelnut to pistachio to lemon to coffee.

Like in all fine shops, the product is carefully packaged for the journey home.

Fortunately, none of the chocolates we purchased was damaged on the way home.

The chocolates were delicious, with subtle flavors, muted sweetness and melt-in-your-mouth creaminess.

Unfortunately, the shop does not deliver outside of Europe.  Quelle dommage!  (What a shame!)

So, if you visit, we can stop by the shop since it is just around the corner at 9, Rue du Marché-Saint-Honoré.

P.S.  A while after this post, while headed to an event in the 11th, we accidentally discovered the location of La Maunfacture, the place where they make the chocolates.  We plan on returning for a tasting and perhaps a tour.
