Summertime in Paris #3

Summertime is Paris is beautiful.  Wherever we walk, we see lovely flowers.  

What is remarkable is how the flowers thrive despite the intense heat and little rain.  There have been two heatwaves in France so far and many other long hot days.  Yet, the flowers withstand the unforgiving conditions and look lovely.

We admire the talent of the landscape architects who plan the gardens and the gardeners who plant and maintain the flower beds.  We guess that selecting the plants (such as petunias and roses) and providing the best soil, fertilizer and irrigation explains why the plants are doing so well.
