The Musée d'Orsay is hosting a temporary exhibition of the work of French Impressionist artist Berthe Morisot. (You can read a short biography of Morisot by clicking here.)
Because we love Impressionism, we have visited the exhibition twice, including a visit with our friends from Vichy, Eliane and Jean-Charles, who likewise enjoy French Impressionist art.
Let's first have a look at the artist.

Morisot's paintings are lovely. They are filled with color and light and with beautifully painted images of all sorts. Below is a collection of some of our favorite paintings in the exhibition. Enjoy!
Morisot's daughter Julie was a frequent model for her paintings.
During a separate visit to the Orsay, we spotted a painting not included in the exhibition, an Édouard Manet portrait of Berthe Morisot.
Whenever we visit the Musée d'Orsay, we are amazed by the building, the converted train station. The main gallery (pictured below) is expansive and filled with light.
During our visit, we stumbled onto the ornate Salle des Fêtes, the scene of famous events.
We also visited the terrace on top of the museum. We had a view of Montmarte (left) and we could also see our apartment behind the Ferris wheel (middle).
