Our visit to the Musical Fountains Show at the Château de Versailles continues.
The best part about seeing the fountains at Versailles is watching the water shoot and splash and hearing the lovely music playing all around the garden.
It was a windy day. So, we also felt the spray of water on our faces. (Unfortunately, we learned during the tour that contact with the fountain could be unhealthy due to bacteria in the water.)
We shot several videos during our tour. So, you can share the experience, without the health risk of bacteria-laden water.
The first video shows one of the many ornately sculpted fountains along the Water Walk that leads up to the Château.
The next video shows group of fountains tucked away in hidden grove.
The fountain in the next video was recently restored. The fountain is gilded and painted and it shines in the sunlight.
The Obelisk Fountain, shown in the next video, looks just like a tall obelisk. Normally, the fountain shoots even higher than shown in the video. We learned from Cyril that the water pressure and therefore height of the fountains were reduced the day we visited. It was a windy day.
We also visited the Ballroom, a structure in the form of an amphitheater. The Ballroom once had a dance floor where the King and his court would do some "disco" dancing, a la Saturday Night Fever.
In the next video, you can see Apollo's Fountain. You will also catch a glimpse of Marie-Chantal and Cyril and, at the end of the video, boats in the Grand Canal.

The next video shows the big finale of the show, the majestic Dragon and Neptune Fountains.
