Random Things #6

It's time to share to some more random things seen during our strolls around Paris.

A "watchcat" guards the door of a jewelry shop in our neighborhood.

Another shop in our neighborhood, Gellé Frères, sells "perfumes for Queens, since 1826".

We often see mounted police officers near the Louvre.

Texting while NOT driving.   Très intelligent.

We are surprised that the much-feared French Wine Police have not seized and banned the sale of the Red Grapefruit wine and Raspberry wine pictured below.  It's only a matter of time, certainly, before the arbiters of proper taste prevail.

While window shopping, we spotted a Rolex watch for sale.  We had to look twice to make sure we correctly read the price.  Oh la la.

Mittens for feet?  Check out the boots below.  The pair sells for more than $1,000.

If you followed the blog during Year 2, then you know that Greg is oddly fascinated with European restrooms.  Below are two recent discoveries.  In the first photo, the French blue/white/red flag is represented (soap/water/hand dryer).

In the second photo, Greg liked seeing the Smiley Face on the hand dryer.
