Sports in D.C.: Washington Nationals #3

We recently enjoyed an afternoon ballgame at Nationals Park.

The weather was perfect, our longtime friend Steve joined us, and the Nationals won.  In fact, the Nationals crushed the Tampa Bay Rays, starting with a 5-run first inning and adding 6 more runs after.  The final score was 11-2.

Attending the game was a special treat, because it was Free Tote Bag Day.  Does it get any better?

Yes, it gets better.  We enjoyed seeing another Presidents Race.  Teddy led for more than half of the race, but Tom passed Teddy and won going away.  Does it get any better?

Yes, it gets better.  We attended the game on June 6, which was D-Day 74 years ago.  Before the game began, the Nationals and the large home crowd (33,000+) welcomed World War II veterans.  All were in their 90's and still standing tall.  Does it get any better?  We don't think so.

Thanks for visiting Nationals Park with us.
