Random Things in Paris #2

Some more random things spotted during our strolls around Paris.

In the 19th century, the heart of Paris was criss-crossed with passages couverts, covered passages filled with shops.  Some of the arcades still exist and in one we found Christian Louboutin's first shop in Paris, opened nearly three decades ago.  Check out the beautiful red-soled shoe below.   


The door knocker below seems very unwelcoming, especially if you have a morbid fear of snakes, like Susan.


The French bulldog pictured below stands guard outside a restaurant in the Place de Valois.  The dog might be small but looks very tough.  Ouah, ouah!  (Woof, woof!)
