Museums: Metropolitan Museum of Art (Part 1 of 2)

Visiting a well air-conditioned museum on a hot, humid day is always a good idea.  A recent sweltering day found us roaming around the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

One stop during our roaming was Manus x Machina, the Met's annual fashion exhibition for 2016.  You might recall an earlier blog post about the exhibition.

The symbol for the exhibition Manus x Machina.
Some random hottie posing in front of the metal, remote-controlled dress with the miniature helicopters that launch, light and spin.

A dress that moves.  The skirt starts out tight to the body and then flares out.  Very cool.

The same dress flaring out.

Another mechanical dress with moving parts

The same mechanical as the back of the skirt begins to flare out.

The skirt flares out even more.

P.S.  Marilyn Monroe called and wants her dress back.
