Another Day Out in London (Part 1 of 2)

In addition to churches and theaters, London has a lot of museums.  

One museum that we visited and heartily recommend is the Tate Britain.   


The Tate Britain is the sister art museum of the Tate Modern, which we visited earlier in our month in the U.K.   

The Tate Britain is dedicated to art with some connection to Britain.  The collection includes works from the 1500’s to the present.  We expected to see a lot of period paintings that depicted various lords and ladies.  We saw those paintings and so much more.  Below is a sampling of paintings that we liked.  

The museum, in our view, has done a good job of including diverse artists.  Below is a period painting by a female artist.  



The painting below is interesting because the image appears to be three-dimensional.
