Today, in France, especially in Paris (the City of Love), is the day of Saint-Valentin. The day is celebrated in Paris like it is in the U.S., but to a lesser extent.
We celebrated the day in various ways, including a visit to a nearby chocolatier and a walk in the Tuileries garden.
Down the street and around the corner is a shop of French chocolatier Michel Cluizel.
The shop includes a chocolate waterfall.
We plan a return visit to Michel Cluizet. Perhaps multiple return visits.
The weather seemed to know it was a special day. The sun was shining and the temperature was 55°F. So, sidewalk cafes were full and people removed winter jackets for the first time since we arrived more than two weeks ago.
We enjoyed a leisurely walk in the Tuileries garden. Along the way, we spotted another happy couple enjoying a walk.
Also along the way, we spotted the Eiffel Tower in the distance and decided to feature it in our celebration of the day.
The Village People called and want Greg to audition.
We wish you a happy St. Valentine's Day.
