The Bloomingdale's around the corner is a very large department store and has large windows on both Lexington Avenue and Third Avenue. Last week, the big reveal involved the Lexington Avenues windows and great fanfare. This week, Bloomingdale's revealed the Third Avenue windows with little fanfare. The theme is Star Wars, The Force Awakens. Apparently, there is another Stars Wars film about to be released and Bloomies is on the bandwagon with window displays (below) and a Star Wars shop.
The windows are a huge hit with passersby. No surprise.
Greg remembers seeing the original Star Wars film a long time ago in a place far, far away, Cleveland, Ohio.
