Autumn in Paris #3

We are enjoying autumn in Paris.  The cool weather makes for pleasant walks.  We are watching the trees change color, while Fall flowers continue to bloom.  Actually, it must be said that the foliage is not exceptionally colorful this year.  The leaves are passing quickly from shades of green to shades of brown.  To see yellow foliage is special and to see red is very rare.  Perhaps it's because of the unusually hot summer weather; several trees got stressed and the leaves dried out early.

We continue to be impressed by the efforts of the professional landscape designers.  They know exactly what to plant, when, and where. Here are some photographs from recent walks in the Tuileries and other gardens.

A recent rainy day suspended the grass mowing in the Tuileries.  Below, our favorite goats take shelter from the storm.

During one of our strolls, we passed by the small vegetable garden in the Tuileries.  We spotted some large tomatoes on the vine.  If you look closely, you can see them, too.

Thanks for strolling with us.
