Dining in D.C. #1: Blue Bottle Coffee

One of the best places for coffee in D.C. (aside from Dunkin' Donuts, of course) is the Blue Bottle Coffee shop in Georgetown.  A friend recently told us about Blue Bottle and how she visits two or three times each workday.  So, we decided to visit Blue Bottle.

The coffee was excellent.  Our coffee was single origin, freshly roasted and ground, and brewed for us in a single-serving pour-over glass pot.  It was a great coffee experience.

The baristas at Blue Bottle apparently love their jobs AND drink a lot of coffee.
We even received free buttons!

Thanks for visiting Blue Bottle with us.  We can return together when you visit us here in D.C.

P.S.  The Blue Bottle experience reminded Greg of another coffee experience.  A few years ago, Greg and a work colleague were in a taxi headed to a meeting.  They were talking about their favorite cup of coffee.  The driver said he preferred a cup of joe from Dunkin' Donuts--great flavor with no pretense.  Greg's work colleague said he makes a daily stop at Starbucks for a skinny vanilla latte.  The driver reacted, "That's nice.  And do you call your mother every day too?"
