Wherever we walk in Florence or elsewhere in Italy, we see more edicola, those small religious shrines on buildings and roadsides. Here are photos of a few more edicola.
The photo of the edicola below is especially interesting. According to the plaque, the edicola is dedicated to the Madonna of the Iris (Madonna dell'Iris). Perhaps a more appropriate dedication is the "Madonna of the No Parking Sign", since she appears to be holding the sign. Whether the apparition of the sign results from a miracle or poor photography, you can decide for yourself.
