What are you doing on January 1, 2016?

If you will be in NYC on January 1, please join Greg for the Annual New Years Day Swim hosted by the Coney Island Polar Bear Club.
That's right.  Greg has apparently lost what little of his mind he still had.  The water will be frigid, the wind will be blowing and perhaps the snow will be drifting.

Greg already has his outfit ready.
Essential items:  Swim trunks and neoprene boots
The event is more than a great way to get the new year kicked off with a bracing Brrrrrr.  The event raises money to send families to Camp Sunshine in Maine.

The goal this year is send more than 25 families to Camp Sunshine.
Camp Sunshine is a wish-fulfillment camp located on Sebago Lake.  It operates year-round and provides week-long, no-cost stays to families affected by life-threatening childhood illnesses.  The camp hosts families from around the U.S. and the world.  If you are familiar with the Hole in the Wall/Serious Fun Camps or Give Kids the World, Camp Sunshine shares the same important mission.  Camp Sunshine has a top overall Charity Navigator rating:  ★.

Greg is not looking for donations.  However, if you want to make sure Greg does not chicken out and opt for the toes-only Chicken Dip instead of the Polar Plunge, then a small donation is welcome.

For a $5 donation, Greg promises to send you a post-plunge photo.  For a $10 donation, Greg promises not to send you a post-plunge photo.  Click here if you want to ensure Greg takes the plunge.

P.S.  Assuming Greg recruits a teammate, the team will need a name.  All suggestions are welcome.  The team name Major Shrinkage is already taken.
