Another Day Filled with Art (Part 2 of 2)

The National Gallery is also home to one of Vincent van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” paintings. 


Yesterday, two Stop Oil protesters threw tomato soup on the painting and each glued a hand to the wall. 


Fortunately, the painting, which is covered in glass was not damaged.  It was removed, cleaned and returned for display.  You can still see the spots on the wall below the painting where the protesters glued their hands.
