Recently, we visited the Musée Maillol to view both a temporary exhibition and the permanent collection.
The temporary exhibition featured a wide range of early 20th century paintings by the self-taught artists of the Naïve movement, including works by Henri Rousseau.
Below is a photographic tour of highlights of the exhibition. Enjoy.
Marie-Chantal especially liked the two Séraphine paintings above. The use of dots reminded her of aboriginal paintings from Australia. The paintings also reminded Marie-Chantal of Little Shop of Horrors--"Feed me, Seymour."
Jean-Claude especially liked the Rousseau painting below.
Jean-Claude was amused by the cheeky painting below.
We hope you enjoyed viewing the temporary collection.
