Music in D.C.: Millennium Stage--Coreyah

A recent visit to the Millennium Stage at the nearby Kennedy Center featured a music ensemble from South Korea.  The ensemble, named Coreyah, included a talented vocalist singing in Korean (we think) and five musicians playing a mix of traditional and modern instruments.  One of the traditional instruments was the Geomungo, a Korean stringed instruments--sort of a like a bass fiddle with more strings and played horizontally.

The musical selections were eclectic, ranging from traditional Korean music to Hip Hop.  Below are two photos from the Hip Hop part of the performance.
