D.C. Pride Parade (Part 2 of 2)

The Pride Parade marches on.

Lots of musical groups joined the parade, including marching bands.  Below are some fine folks marching to the beat of the Different Drummers.


The parade even included marching bagpipers.

There were lots of messages shared at the parade.

End Gun Violence:


Government workers showed their pride.


West Virginians showed their pride.


The D.C. Fire Department showed its pride.


Shortly after winning the 2018 Stanley Cup, representatives of the Washington Capitals joined the parade and showed their pride.

All sorts of marchers joined the parade and showed their pride.  Here is a sampling.  


Below, a prideful pooch had a personal parade float.  It's a dog's life.


Miss Gay Washington showed her pride.


The fine people from Cobalt nightclub showed their pride.


Different religious groups showed their pride, including Dignity Washington.


The Grand Marshals of the parade were Judy and Dennis Shepard, the parents of Matthew Shepard, who was murdered in 1998 because he was gay.
