Travels in Tuscany--Pisa Revisited (Part 1 of 2)

During Sally's recent visit, we returned to Pisa to see the sights.  We discovered the Leaning Tower is still leaning.

Sally climbed the tower during a rain shower.  She found that the slick, slanted floors and stairs were a challenge but she persevered and climbed the nearly 300 steps to the top of the 8-story tower, taking some photos along the way.

The entry doorway illustrates how much the tower tilts--4°.

Some random hottie tagged along.
Pop Quiz:  Galileo supposedly went to the top of the Leaning Tower and dropped two cannonballs.  One weighed more than the other.  Which one hit the ground first?

Next Up:  The Campo Santo in Pisa
