Random Things #11

Still more random things.

This road sign represents either Tom Hanks in the film Big or a pedestrian crossing.  In Italy, pedestrian crossings are marked with a set of stripes and are known as "zebra crossings".

Florence's historic center, the area inside the final set of city walls was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982.

Trains in Italy today go much faster than in the past.  The maximum allowed speed of the special alta velocita (high speed) trains is 300km/hour (about 186mph).  The trains can actually travel up to about 400km/hour on certain stretches of track.
