Holiday greetings from Paris. Joyeux Noël.
We are enjoying holiday time in Paris. Wherever we ramble, we see holiday decorations and other signs of the season.
Here are a few more reminders that Paris knows how to celebrate the holiday season.
Le Bristol is a luxury hotel not far from our apartment. The hotel's elegant lobby is beautifully decorated.
Another elegant hotel, the Hôtel de Crillon, has a festive facade.
The house of Chanel also decorated its facade for the holidays.
Also nearby, the majestic Église catholique Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption looks even more lovely with seasonal decoration.
A local shop went overboard decorating for the holidays. Below, the Orange cellphone store added a snow-covered chalet to its facade.

Of course, it wouldn't be the holidays without panettone. In front of the new Saint Laurent shop, Jean-Claude found a vintage Citroën food truck selling gourmet treats, including panettone imported from Italy.
Another seasonal dessert is a Père Noël ice cream cake.
Here are some more seasonal treats.
Below, the florist down the street added a red-nosed creature in the window.
The Hermès shop on Avenue George V was decorated with festive lights.
On Christmas eve, the Champs-Élysées looked lovely.
Another sign of the season is Père Noël, whom we spotted at Galeries Lafayette. Below, Père Noël is giving a thumbs up to Jean-Claude. That means no coal in Jean-Claude's stocking this year.
The other day, we had the good fortunate to see an arc en ciel, or rainbow.
From Marie-Chantal and Jean-Claude: We wish everyone a peaceful holiday season and happy new year.
