Odd Things #1

During our strolls around Paris, we often see odd things.  Here is a small collection.

While strolling near the Assemblée Nationale, France's congress, we spotted a patriotic boutique selling all sorts of products, like the tricolore toothbrush pictured below.  Susan wanted to buy it, of course, but the boutique was closed.

New, ultra-modern fountains were recently installed along the Champs-Élysées.  While passing by recently, we noticed something odd.  Doesn't the water look like Mountain Dew?

Susan recently pricked her finger when she touched the top of the Eqyptian obelisk in the Place de la Concorde.

Aïe! (Ouch!)
A few days ago, we were caught in a rainstorm.  Fortunately, we were able to shelter under a covered sidewalk.  We were especially fortunate because the storm included small hail.

Last week, the annual Diner en Blanc occurred in the courtyard of the Louvre.  Diners wear all white and party the night away.   Part of the entertainment included stilt walkers, who donned their gear on our street before heading to the party.  Check out the lights on the costumes.

In the Jardin du Luxembourg, children can ride a pony.  Of course, even a pony needs a potty break.

Thanks for allowing us to share some odd things.
