Comedy in D.C. #1: The Capitol Steps

If you like comedy and political satire, then you might enjoy seeing the Capitol Steps perform.

The Capitol Steps is a long-established comedy troupe based in D.C. that skewers current and past administrations and other politicians regardless of party affiliation.  The current incarnation is called Making America Grin Again.

We have seen Capitol Steps performances over the years and we recently attended a show.  The show was very funny.  The comedy sketches are timely and many are set to music using recent or past hit songs as the tunes.

Below is a current listing of comedy sketches in the show.  However, the show is constantly being updated. So, the performance included new sketches not listed in the program, because there is always new raw material being created by our politicians.

One of the sketches we saw featured "Donald Trump" singing It's My Party .  If you want to see it, click here.

P.S.  The best line from the performance we saw was:  "Orange is the new Barack".
