Museums: National Museum of Women in the Arts #2

Recently, we returned to the Museum of Women in the Arts, with friends visiting from NYC.

The museum was hosting a temporary exhibition, Women House, dedicated to feminist art from the 1970's to the present.  The artwork in the exhibition has a clear, provocative message, which you can see for yourself in the photos below.  Enjoy!

The museum also hosts events, such as receptions and weddings.  Below, the main floor and mezzanine are readied for a wedding reception.  The juxtaposition of a traditional wedding reception and the Women House exhibition was ironic and thought-provoking.

Thanks for visiting the Museum of Women in the Arts with us.
