The other day, we visited for the first time a café down the street. Café 19.26 is intriguing. It combines a Parisian-style café with a bistrot with something else.
The something else is a large collection of high quality rum. The bottles hail from many countries, such as Grenada, Guyana and Cuba, to name a few.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch surrounded by a lot of atmosphere. We were transported to a strange place where French décor harmonizes with sugar cane elixir.

The café even has a room with a carriage. Très extraordinaire.
One of the many rooms in the café is called the Rumery. Check out the collection of rum pictured below.
We plan a return visit soon. After 5:00 o'clock.
P.S. We are unsure of the origin of the café's name "19.26". According to one source, the name might refer to the year 1926 when Florence's soccer team, La Fiorentina, was founded; or a famous roulette bet 19 and 26; or the numbers of the streets where the café is located, 19 and 26. Who knows?
