Florence in Summer is beautiful. The sun bathes everything in bright, warm light. So, the sights of Florence, like the Medici Chapel pictured below, have a special visual quality during Summertime.
Of course, the Summer sun also bakes everything including the inhabitants, like us. Relief from the intense midday heat and humidity is a must. So, we miss our pool in Florida.
Wait! What's that in the photo? Could it be a pool?!
Yes, it is!
We spotted the pool on the terrace while viewing the Florence skyline. Greg wants to put on his swim trunks, make some new friends and then take a cool dip.
Alternatively, he is considering buying a portable pool for our living room since our terrace is far too small.
Only in Italy.
