If you are cool or if you follow this blog, you know all about "pop up" stores and markets.
The other day, we came across a pop up market in the very center of Florence, in the Piazza della Reppublica. Products from around the region were available--cheese, wine, honey, salami, leather goods, clothing, Christmas items, and so on. The food vendors offered free samples.
The market was full and the mood was festive. Street musicians played nearby. The next day, the market was gone. From pop up to poof.
Here are some photos.
Check out the product in the next photo--Tequila Socks! Tequila is made from the agave plant. We learned you can also make socks from the agave plant. Who knew?
Not to worry. The merry-go-round did not go poof. It is a permanent fixture in the square. |
Good times.
