Panettone (Part 4 of 4)

Can life get any better since panettone is already in the world?  Yes, if panettone had a first cousin.

It does.  It is called pandoro, or gold bread.  Pandoro is like panettone but comes from Verona and is star shaped.

Like panettone, pandoro is a traditional Italian sweet yeast bread popular around Christmas and New Year's Day.  Pandoro is typically a star-shaped cone but with a flat top.  It is often dusted with vanilla scented icing sugar to resemble the snowy peaks of the nearby Alps during winter.

We enjoyed our first ever pandoro the other day.  It was chocolate flavored and it was delizioso!

Thanks for joining our panettone adventure.  We hope you enjoyed it.  We especially hope panettone is available wherever you are in the world.

P.S.  While grocery shopping the other day, we saw something amazing in the bakery. It was a BIG panettone.  We have dubbed it Megatonne!

Some random hottie showing off a huge panettone.  This picture was not photoshopped.  Mamma mia, that is a big panettone!
